Summer Highlight: 3 Days of Design

It’s been a full summer so far for me at Studio Haslund. I arrived in Copengagen for ‘3 days of Design’, the three day long festival of the best of Danish Design. It’s an absolute must every year in my calendar, and this year was no different. I was able to reconnect with familiar faces, discover new brands, new designs and discover what the year has to offer from my design partners. New Works exemplified contemporary style mixed with old world charm in their beautiful villa style showroom. Kvadrat, Louise Roe, Carl Hansen & Son and Audo Copenhagen, all opened their showrooms to showcase new products. It’s always an exciting week to visit Copenhagen, and it’s no question that I will be back next year!

In Conversation at New Works

New Works presented their collection within their theme of ‘Meditations in an Emergency’ at their historic showroom. The space was designed as a sensory landscape exploring the tension between external noise and inner stillness. The brand also hosted an ;in conversation’ talk with interior stylist Lotta Agaton, design duo  Panter&Tourron, and New Works’ Creative Director Knut Bendik Humlevik, which reflected on collaboration and intuition as a converging dialogue that shapes spaces and objects.

Two must see brands of mine are interior accessories specialists – Ferm Living & Louise Roe. Both have an incredible collection of Danish designed glassware and ceramics that I am obsessed with using on my projects. Ferm Living has also expanded into furniture and lighting in the last few years with a softer, residential aesthetic – I would say, perfect for my clients here in LA!
