studio haslund presents past | present | future

As May draws to a close, I wanted to touch on something more personal around finally bringing to light my business in America which is taking shape now after a very long wait! (You’re welcome Covid 19 & USA Visa Restrictions!) I felt it deserved its own Journal as for me it is an important moment after an incredibly busy period.

Without sharing the entire journey of the last 3.5 years, there have been many challenges in moving to LA. I enter into June with a relaunched website and online store, showcasing a curation of Danish design objects. To celebrate this, I am hosting a very special event – a pop up exhibition here in LA with Danish/Norwegian artist Nina K Ekman, partnered with three Danish design brands (New Works, Louise Roe and Carl Hansen & Son).

Alongside Nina, I am so excited to be back working with these three brands – a pillar of what Studio Haslund in London was!
And lastly, back to the motherland for 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen to explore and be inspired by the Danish design industry.

Safe to say a busy month ahead!

I thank my Mor for my Danish ‘half’ and to fly the flag in her honour as I go into this next chapter, and that I know she would be so proud of. It is such a passion of mine talking about Danish Design and the principals of the Scandinavian lifestyle. Having started my business 11 years ago London in 2012 (and as anyone who has started a business from scratch knows it takes work !), so to be here again in an exciting new chapter is a pivotal moment that I wanted to share.

I look forward to sharing more of Danish and Scandinavian art and design over the coming months with you!
