Glaedelig jul!

or Happy Holidays as they say here in Los Angeles

It feels like we say this every year, but the end of 2025 has come around so fast. It has been a year of milestones as I came into the year on a high, influenced by the successful collaborative event with Audo Copenhagen & Louis Poulsen. However, I have to acknowledge the very quick transformation as the wild fires in Los Angeles caused sudden devastation.  We were incredibly lucky but many people we know lost their homes, their lives forever changed. What I loved was how our communities around the area came together so thoughtfully and genuinely, and it set the scene for what was for me personally at times hard but also a full and positive year in other ways for Studio Haslund.

Throughout the year I’ve developed my Styling for Events, using florals and objects from my Danish collection to curate varying exhibitions and events. I had the pleasure of styling an activation event with Louis Roederer in the beautiful setting of L’Horizon Hotel, Palm Springs.  We also said a sad farewell to Artist Nina K Ekman with the wonderful exhibition ‘Bloom’ that I curated – a celebration of her time in LA and wishing her luck as she moved back to Denmark.  Nina will be back in 2026 so watch this space!

Another highlight was my first ever podcast interview! I was asked to be featured on ‘Danish Originals’, a podcast series celebrating Danish (including being a half Dane like me !) creatives in USA. The latter part of this year has been busy working with Designer Lorena Pinzon on a commercial project and involved sourcing furniture from a variety of Danish brands.

I was grateful to spend some time back in Europe in June & July, which included being in Copenhagen during 3 Days of Design, truly inspiring!

Happy Holidays & as they say in Denmark ‘Glædelig jul’!
