For longtime fans of Danish design, you will already be familiar with Audo Copenhagen. 2022 marked the joining of three household names – MENU, By Lassen and The Audo – to create a unified group of lifestyle brands, all with Danish roots. The joint venture aims to bring global outlook and expansion to the group, as they utilise each of their unique approaches to design.
The unified groups furniture, lighting and interior accessories ‘are shaped by purposeful details, high-quality materials and human needs, going hand-in-hand with their pursuit to create strong, long-lasting connections and partnerships.’
I’ve curated a selection of pieces chosen based on their appeal to my California audience, and their aesthetic. Quintessentially Audo, the objects and furniture exude ‘soft minimalism’ and possess an inherent adaptability that caters to a diverse range of architectural styles. The California landscape is host to a variety of early to Mid-Century, to Post-Modern and contemporary buildings which caters perfectly to the Audo’s timeless, transverse aesthetic.
Collaborating with the brand here marks an exciting direction for Studio Haslund. The selection of pieces can be viewed by appointment via my base in Los Angeles.
